What You Need to Know About Piano Lessons

One of the most important aspects of piano lessons is what it does for a student's learning development.  It has been scientifically proven that piano lessons improve language ability, increase hand and eye coordination, increase discipline, self-focus and the ability to work independently.  Lastly, it is a great confidence builder.

Here are some tips that will make your child's piano lessons successful:

1. Practice makes perfect.  Unfortunately, there's no way to get around it.  Practice is necessary to improve a skill, just like practicing for a sport.  The more you practice, the better you become! It's as simple as that.  Yes, it really is, although practicing does takes some planning.  It can be done and the rewards are really worth it.

2. Along with practice comes regularity.  Regularity in lessons and practice.  A weekly lesson is necessary to make progress.  In an ideal world lessons would be every day, like school.  However, since that's not possible, once a week must do.
